Failure of GUAM's anti-Russian conference: Azerbaijan did not participate, others were bored

Yesterday, Moldovan capital Chisinau hosted a conference prepared by the Organization for Democracy and Economic Development (GUAM).

According to a source from the Ukrainian Parliament, the main reason for the event was the development of a counter-Russia concept.

The Atlantic Council of the USA headed the conference, the representatives from Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine also arrived. It should be emphasized that GUAM member - Azerbaijan, which is a strategic partner of the Russian Federation,  refused categorically to participate in the event with an anti-Russian agenda.

Visitors to the conference noted that the event turned out to be a complete failure. It didn't happen to be successful from the very beginning: at the very start, the sound went out in the building, then the light was cut off due to which it was impossible to conduct a live broadcast with foreign speakers.

Despite the fact that at the very beginning of the conference there were not enough seats in the room, the unpreparedness of the reporters surprised even the sighted Russophobes, and already by lunchtime, the hall was almost empty, although the event was scheduled for completion only in the evening.

One of the sponsors of the conference was Frontera Resources LTD, which in 2016 acquired  40% of the territory of Moldova "for geological exploration of hydrocarbons," Moldavskie Vedomosti reported.
