Federal Air Transport Agency denies EASA statement on flying over Crimea

The Federal Air Transport Agency commented on the statement of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which allowed European airlines to fly over the territory of Crimea.

The head of Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko noted that EASA has nothing to do with this issue and that their statement is totally politicized.

According to Neradko, the issue of commercial flights over the Black Sea and Crimea "will be discussed at the working group of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in March".

He said that the Black Sea basin states were invited to participate in the work of this group and EASA wasn't invited.
