Federal Tourism Agency of Turkey excludes 19 tour operators

19 companies were excluded by the Federal Tourism Agency from the federal registry of tour operators due to sanctions against Ankara [Renaissance property Management, Attida Travel, Pegasus Tours, Pegasus Kazan, Ufa Pegasus, Pegasus Ekaterinburg, Pegas Krasnodar, Samara Pegasus, Pegasus-Kemerovo, Perm Pegasus, Pegasus Retail, Pegas Khabarovsk, Pegas Surgut, Anex Regions, Anex Tour Moscow, Bentour Moscow, Pegas Touristik, Sanmar Tour and Coral Travel], the head of the Federal Tourism Agency, Oleg Safonov, said.

The decision will come into force from January 1st 2016.

According to the laws of the Russian Federation, they can no longer continue tourist activities on the territory of Russia, TASS reports.

"Exclusion of Pegas Touristik from the registry of tour operators will not affect tourists," the general director of the travel company, Anna Podgornaya, said.

The representative of the Anex Tour Moscow company, Alena Khitrova, also said that this situation will not affect tourists.

The decision of the Federal Tourism Agency was taken in accordance with the Russian President's decree on measures to ensure Russia’s national security and to protect its citizens from criminal and other illegal activities and to impose special economic measures against Turkey. Russia is also suspending employment of Turkish workers starting from January 1, 2016.
