The Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company has approved the schedule of regular ferry trips from the Baku International Sea Trade Port to the Kazakh port of Aktau, the company said.
"Given the recent commissioning of a new logistics center in Aktau, the ferries transporting wheeled vehicles (trucks, buses, passenger cars) and railway wagons will operate on the Baku-Aktau route according to the approved regular schedule from December 1st. The ferries will leave the port of Baku to enter Aktau at 12:00 on Tuesdays and Fridays, while from the port of Aktau to Baku - at 23:00 on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The information on changes in the schedule of ferry trips due to the weather conditions will be distributed in advance," Trend cited the message as saying.
The trips will be made twice a week. The number of trips can be increased in case of great freight traffic, the company added.
