On November 21st the world-known opera singers, People’s Artists of Azerbaijan and winners of national awards, the Fidan and Huraman Gasimov Sisters, performed a big concert program ‘Fidan and Huraman With You That Night’ at the Azerbaijani State Philharmonic Hall named after Muslim Magomayev.
AZERTAG reported that the singers performed at the concert which was held to a full house accompanied by the Azerbaijani State Chamber Orchestra n.a. Kara Karayev conducted by People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Teymur Goychayev.
The Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Adalat Veliyev spoke about the achievements of the Gasimov Sisters in the formation of Azerbaijani musical culture and the art of singing. It was pointed out that they had always glorified Azerbaijan in the world with their art. Fidan and Huraman, who properly preserve and develop the traditions of the national singing school, are recognized and well-known master artistes in the world. The Deputy Minister stressed that the singers enriched the national art of singing. He assessed the awarding of the singers with various high prizes as an appreciation of the culture and the art by the Azerbaijani State.
Afterwards Fidan and Huraman greeted guests and thanked them for their support on such an important day.
The event continued with an interesting concert program. The performance by the People’s Artists was heartily welcomed by the big audience. Along with folk and composition songs, pearls of the world art of singing were performed at the concert.
A People’s Artist Alim Gasymov and the well-known jazz singer Emil Afrasiyab also performed at the concert.
