The first urban forest green belt will be created around Karachayevsk in Karachay-Cherkessia (KCR). The relevant decision was adopted today by deputies of the republic’s parliament.
"The territory of the urban forest green belt will be provided near Komsomolskaya Gorka in the city of Karachayevsk. The area of this special zone will be 40 hectares," a representative of the regional parliament said, Interfax-South reports.
