If the Kazakh side delays groundwork on the Baiterek project, the first launch of the promising Soyuz-5 vehicle may be postponed until 2024, Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin said.
The first launch of Soyuz-5 is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2023. "The missile will be ready by the end of 2023, as we planned. If the Kazakh side delays some of its work, this means that the launch will be rescheduled for 2024," he said in an interview with the Russia-24 TV channel.
Rogozin said that dynamic and static tests of fuel tanks and individual rocket systems are currently being carried out.
