It is too early to assess the damage caused by the flood in Lori and Tavush, but it is already clear that it is enormous, the head of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan, said.
The flooding in the Lori and Tavush provinces caused by rainfall and river overflows has led to enormous damage, the full extent of which will become clear later, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, Gnel Sanosyan said.
He explained that the processes of soil erosion continue, and new destruction is not excluded. For example, roads may sag.
According to the minister, houses that have been flooded need to be checked: they could have fallen into disrepair, and this may not be visible from the outside.
