France has announced three days of mourning in the country after the series of terrorist attacks that occurred last night in Paris, the president of the country Francois Hollande stated.
Yesterday, in several public places of the French capital, terrorist attacks, explosions and assaults occurred, as a result of which 128 people died and 250 were injured.
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to President Francois Hollande in connection with the series of terrorist attacks in Paris, he also noted that the tragic events in the French capital were another indication of the barbaric nature of terrorism, which defies human civilization. "It is clear that an effective fight against this scourge requires real joint efforts of the international community," the Russian president stated.
"I would like to confirm Russia's readiness for close cooperation with our French partners in the investigation of the crimes committed in Paris. I expect that those who ordered and carried it out will suffer their deserved punishment," TASS quoted Putin as saying.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also expressed his condolences to his French counterpart: "Deeply shocked by the news about numerous casualties and injuries as a result of relentless terrorist attacks in the city of Paris. We are extremely outraged by this terrible incident, we strongly condemn terrorism, and we support the fight against all of its manifestations in every possible way. In these difficult moments we are together with the people of France, with you," Trend quoted him as saying.
Moreover, Ilham Aliyev expressed his deep condolences to Francois Hollande, to the families and friends of victims and all the people of France, and wished recovery to the injured.
The President and the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili and Irakli Garibashvili, have also expressed their condolences in connection with the deaths caused by the terrorist attacks that took place in Paris last night. "The whole of Georgia is shaken by the monstrous acts of terrorism that caused human casualties. It is a crime against the entire civilized world and humanity, we must all unite in the fight against it," Sputnik Georgia quotes Margvelashvili as saying.
"I am shocked by the tragedy that happened in France. In these difficult moments we are close to the French people," Irakli Garibashvili on his Facebook page.
In addition, German Chancellor Angela Merkel stated today that Germany and France will work together to deal with the perpetrators of the terrorist attacks in Paris. She noted that the governments of the two countries are in close contact, RIA Novosti reported. At the same time, Berlin offered Paris all possible support in pursuit of criminals and their accomplices.
