Former French Prime Minister Francois Fillon has urged the European Union to cancel "the stupid sanctions against Russia", as they are unnecessary to make situation on the economic front more complicated during the fight against the Daesh terrorist group.
"Certainly it needs to be done. First of all, it should be done because we have to put an end to this stupid and dangerous Cold War between Russia and Europe. We cannot fight together in Syria and maintain sanctions in everyday life. It is impossible," Sputnik cites him as saying.
