Freedom House urges to abolish criminalization of insulting officials in Armenia

Freedom House has called on the Armenian Parliament to repeal the legislative provision criminalizing insulting government officials.

"We call on the parliament to repeal this law, which so clearly violates the principles enshrined in the Armenian Constitution, the country's obligations under the OSCE and the European Convention on Human Rights," the organization said.
