The Ministry of Labor and Social Security said that the raising of the retirement age in Russia is unprofitable and irrelevant at the moment, as the economic impact of this measure is comparatively large.
"Of course, one day this will be in time (raising the retirement age). We believe that if we manage to move more in the direction of increasing of the life expectancy, which is now a little less than 71.5 years, and it this is still not enough,’’ the head of department, Maxim Topilin, said.
