Friday sermons in Indonesian mosques to be dedicated to victims of Khojaly tragedy

This Friday sermons in more than eight hundred thousand mosques throughout Indonesia will be dedicated to the victims of the Khojaly tragedy, the chairman of Indonesia's Nahdlatul Ulama (Union of Muslim scholars), Said Aqil Siradj, said at a meeting with the Azerbaijani ambassador Tamerlan Garayev in Jakarta.

Said Agil Siradj said he and the Nahdatul Ulama will continue to support Azerbaijan. He expressed regret that currently there is no positive progress in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and said that at the next meeting with the President of Indonesia he will draw his attention to the particular importance of this issue, AzerTAc reports.

Azerbaijani ambassador to Indonesia Tamerlan Garayev congratulated Said Aguila Siradj on winning the elections, and stressed that the Nahdatul Ulama has begun to provide greater support to Azerbaijan after his election.
