The head of the Georgian government, Giorgi Gakharia, met with teachers and paramedics in Zugdidi. He emphasized the importance of education in shaping future generations. "We understand that you play the most important role in shaping future generations. The state has a direct responsibility to make your daily work more efficient," the prime minister said.
He also raised the issue of increasing salaries for teachers, noting that this has become a priority in the 2020 budget formulation.
