Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili today gave a speech at the summit for sustainable development of the United Nations in New York, devoting it to a healthy lifestyle in the country.
"The main priority for Georgia is to ensure a healthy lifestyle. Together with our international partners, the authorities are implementing an unprecedented program for the elimination of hepatitis C. Also, the government is doing everything possible to reduce the mortality rate among children and mothers," Georgia Online quotes him as saying.
"The second issue is a stable solid energy sector. We have become exporters of electricity as a result of the reforms. Georgia has become a member of the energy community,’’ Garibashvili said.
