The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, held emergency briefing on the wiretapped recordings of ex-President Mikheil Saakashvili with the head of the Rustavi 2 TV, Nika Gvaramia, and former Secretary of the Security Council, Giga Bokeria.
He said that the government promises to protect the security of every citizen of Georgia. The Prime Minister promised that those "who try to split the society, who are planning any kind of provocation, will be punished in the strictest way".
Garibashvili also urged everyone to stand above these provocations for the peaceful future of the country. "We all have one homeland, we should live together. let’s stand above this hatred and create a peaceful future together," Georgia Online cited the prime minister as saying.
