Gas condensate exports declines this year

Iran earned $3.27 billion from gas condensate exports in the five months from March 20, indicating a 9.21% decline against the figure for the same period last year.

Iran Customs Administration said that during the five months (March 20-August 21), exports of non-oil products rose by 10.22% to reach $19.108 billion whereas the figure for the same time span last year was $17.336 billion, Fars News Agency reports.

Also during the same period, Iran imported goods worth $16.709 billion showing a decline of 2.85% against the figure for the same period last year.

During the five-month period, Iran's main export item was gas condensates which brought in export revenues of $3.27 billion — a decline of 9.21 percent compared to the figure for the same period last year.

In the second place was liquefied natural gas (LNG), with export earnings of $1.94 billion, followed by diesel and liquefied hydrocarbon gas, worth $693 million, light oil and products, except gasoline, worth $586 million, and liquefied propane, worth $574 million in subsequent positions.

Also in the said period, petrochemical products valued at $7.462 billion were exported, indicating a 25.3% growth compared to the figure for the same five-month period last year, Iran Daily reports.
