The Orel City Day is an alienable part of the great feat of the Soviet soldiers who saved the country and the whole world from the Nazi invaders, the Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov said, speaking with a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza during the festive events dedicated to the 450th anniversary of the city.
"This is one of the most important holidays for me, a holiday which is spiritualized by the great feat, unique history and brotherhood of all the peoples of the Soviet country, who have been fighting here against fascism," the politician reminded.
"And here, on this land they have broken the backbone of the fascist beast. They proved that friendship, work and justice are above violence, money and anything else. And this thought always gives me new strength and great ideas," Gennady Zyuganov said.
