Close partnership between Georgia and Kazakhstan, and the prospects for future cooperation were discussed by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and a Kazakh delegation led by Special Representative of Kazakh President Yerzhan Kazikhanov on Tuesday.
The sides discussed trade, agriculture and economic cooperation, and the importance of the upcoming 11th session of the Kazakh-Georgian Intergovernmental Economic Commission, which will be held in Tbilisi in the near future, the Government Administration said.
Garibashvili highlighted the increased trade between the two countries last year and in the first three months of 2022, adding there was “great potential to further develop” the ties. Effective use of the transit potential of Georgia and the South Caucasus region in general was also discussed.
Georgia-Kazakhstan relations are marked with an anniversary this year, with 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.
