Georgia loses foreign trade turnover

In January of 2016, Georgia's foreign trade turnover with EU countries amounted to 137 million dollars, which is 25% less than in January 2015, the National Statistics Office of Georgia Gruzstat reported.

Exports from Georgia to the EU amounted to 38 million dollars (38% more), but imports were worth 99 million dollars (18% less), Sputnik Georgia reports.

The total foreign trade turnover of Georgia during January amounted to 528 million dollars (excluding non-organized trade), which is 24% less than during the same period of last year.
