The EU's policy towards Georgia is unacceptable. This statement was made by the Mayor of the Georgian capital and the Georgian Dream party's Secretary General Kakha Kaladze.

His statement was made against the background of information that the EU wants to cancel the visa-free regime for Georgian citizens due to the adoption of the law on foreign agents.

"This rhetoric is categorically unacceptable. Why should the visa-free regime be suspended for our country? In Georgia, the Parliament, elected by the absolute majority of the country, adopts necessary and important laws for the country. Those statements that we hear from the West, our partners, are categorically unacceptable",

Kakha Kaladze said.

Kaladze stressed that the ruling elite was ready for dialogue and expected friendly ties with the EU.

In addition to this, Georgia can prove itself as a reliable partner.
