Georgia's average employee wage raised

The average monthly salary in Georgia's business sector from January through March 2024 reached 1,985 lari ($764), up 12.9% year-on-year, the National Statistical Service of Georgia (Sakstat).

Overall, the average salary of hired workers in the reporting period reached 1,943 lari ($684), which is a 13.2% increase from the first quarter of 2023.

The Sakstat also revealed a surge in the non-commercial and financial sectors.

The average nominal salary here for the first quarter of 2024 was 1,870 lari ($703.70), which is 13.8% higher compared to the same period last year.
