The Chinese government plans to help Georgia to revive tea growing. This was stated by the Georgian Minister of Agriculture, Otar Danelia, commenting on his visit to China, which was held on July 14-17.
At a meeting in China with the Minister of Agriculture, Han Changfu, and representatives of agencies and companies ‘issues of expansion of cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture were discussed’.
"It is symbolic that in Georgia the culture of tea cultivation, which came in the middle of the XIX century, came from China, and now exactly this country is ready to assist us in the revival and development of tea-growing,’’ TASS is quoting Danelia as saying.
