Two years after the signing of an agreement on deep and comprehensive free trade area with the EU, Georgia has issued a free trade agreement with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), which includes Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland, the press service of the Georgian government administration reports.
The document was signed today in Berne by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, the Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Dmitry Kumsishvili, the Federal President, the Minister of Economy, Education and Research of the Swiss Confederation Johann Schneider-Amman and the ministers of EFTA countries in the framework of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, to Switzerland and the EFTA ministerial Council, Business-Georgia reports.
