The government will help entrepreneurs in order to accelerate the process of European integration, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated at the 'Leaders Forum' in Tbilisi.

"European and Euro-Atlantic integrations are the main focus of our foreign policy. I believe that by encouraging the aspirations of entrepreneurs, we can transform Georgia," he stressed.

Kvirikashvili also noted that the government will help novice businessmen in attracting investments.

According to him, new programs will be created for aspiring entrepreneurs. "We will spend significant resources and energy to support businesses and to encourage young people with innovative ideas," Sputnik Georgia quoted him as saying.

The head of the Center for Safety Issues and International Relations, Nika Chitadze, spoke in an interview with a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza about the development of business in the country. According to her, "the liberalization of the law in issues of taxation is needed first of all."

"Now there is the matter of exemption from income taxes of those companies whose business promotes investments,'' he reminded. "I think that in this case further liberalization will continue. Despite this we have to recognize that taxes in Georgia are very low," the expert said, adding that the income tax in Georgia is 15%, VAT is 18%, income tax is 20%. These are low indices."

Chitadze stressed the need to "take into account the incomes and revenues of the population and various business entities." He also drew attention to the fact that "the business ombudsman institution must be active, as it examines all violations of governmental agencies that deal with different kinds of fines of companies."

According to the analyst, the institution should play a key role in such cases.

Speaking of attracting investments into the economy of Georgia, he noted that "the state should ensure the development of democratic institutions and stabilize the country."
