The Georgian government has decided to continue the "Project to assist smallholder farmers to conduct spring works" in 2016, the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture said.
"Under the project, in 2016 those farmers who own a land area of 0.25 hectares will benefit from agricultural cards with a deposit of 50 laris ($21) and farmers who own a land area of 0.25-1.25 hectares (perennial crops) will receive agricultural cards with a deposit of 140 laris ($58.3) per hectare," Sputnik Georgia cited a statement of the Ministry.
