Georgian filmmakers cut off from the world by an avalanche in Svaneti

A Georgian crew of 30 cinematographers has been cut off from the outside world in the Svaneti village of Ushguli due to an avalanche that descended 10 days ago.

"We have run out of products and medical supplies, almost the entire group of 30 people have fallen ill with the flu virus, we are in serious condition," Interfax quotes the director Levan Kuhashvili as saying.

He noted that 10 days ago an avalanche descended on the road, which was reported to the local authorities, but until now the village has been cut off from the outside world.
