Georgian leaders are offering their condolences to the Great Britain after 22 people were killed and 59 injured in a suspected terrorist attack at Manchester Arena.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili released a statement saying he is "deeply saddened” by the incident.
"On behalf of the Government and the people of Georgia I offer my sincere sympathies to the Government of Great Britain and the English people. We wholeheartedly share your sorrow in this challenging time. I believe that the civilised world will launch even more vigorous efforts against terrorism and as a united force we will achieve peace across the world," Agenda.ge cited Kvirikashvili as saying.
Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili took to Twitter to express his sorrow.
"I am deeply outraged over the deadly terrorist attack in Manchester. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families”, he wrote.
The blast occurred at the Manchester Arena in the northern English city at 10.35 p.m. local time on Monday shortly after a concert of American singer Ariana Grande. An explosive device went off outside the concert hall. The authorities are treating the incident as a terror attack. Some 59 people were wounded, police said.
