The leader of the opposition party New Political Center - Girchi, the presidential candidate of Georgia, Zurab Japaridze kept his promise and organized a protest at the Cannabis Legalization Festival, resulted by his immediate arrest.
The festival, organized by Girchi, began with Japaridze distributing cigarettes with marijuana to those present, repeating at the same time that he was breaking the law and waiting for the reaction of the police. According to Interfax, he and 10 of his supporters were soon arrested by the police officers, who were waiting for this provocation.
