German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that he had studied Russian for a short time. But now he only remembers the alphabet.
"Once I took eight evening classes. I remember nothing but the alphabet", he said during a meeting with citizens in Potsdam.
He also noted that his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin had always "taken place in a polite manner".
