The meeting of the head of the Pentagon, James Mattis and the Minister of Defense of Germany, Ursula von der Lyayen, took place yesterday, the press service of the US defense department reported.
During the conversation, the sides discussed a wide range of defense issues, including the US position on the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF), as well as the recent visits to the countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
Mattis thanked Ursula von der Lyayen for her country’s support of the world stability and security, including in Afghanistan, the Middle East, Africa and Europe, TASS reports.
