The global COVID-19 total has topped 4 million cases, taking 12 days for the pandemic total to jump from 3 million to 4 million, WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said.
The worldwide total stands at over 4,100,000, with over 282,000 people having died from their infections, according to the Johns Hopkins online dashboard.
Within the U.S, the same dashboard shows over 1,300,000 confirmed cases and over 80,000 deaths.
In related news, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said on Twitter that antibody testing in 1,300 New York City transit workers has found a 14.2% positive rate, MLO reported.
