The national gymnastics arena in Baku is perfect for such an important international tournament as the World Championship, the Greek group team members said today in an interview with the Vestnik Kavkaza correspondent after the qualifying performances with five balls, three hoops and two pairs of clubs at the 37th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Baku.
“In Baku, there is a wonderful arena- a huge hall, equipped at the top level and beautifully decorated. We really like it here,” the girls admitted.
"Also, the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation has provided the high level organization of the tournament, all on time and without any problems," Greek group members added.
This week, on September 16-22, the 37th World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships is held at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. The tournament is the qualification competition for the 32nd Olympic Games in Tokyo. More than 300 gymnasts from 61 countries are competing for nine sets of medals. The motto of the tournament is “Fairy tales will come to life”.
