The Baku State University commemorated the national leader Heydar Aliyev, the press service of the educational institution said today.
Participants of the event laid a wreath and flowers to the bust of the national leader. Then they gathered in the University Center of Heydar Aliyev.
The rector of Baku State University, academician Abel Maharramov stressed that Heydar Aliyev's development strategy helped Azerbaijan achieve success in all areas. He told about the reforms, including in the sphere of science and education, carried out in Azerbaijan under the leadership of Heydar Aliyev.
The academician noted that the memory of the national leader will remain in the heart of the people for centuries. "The people are happy, because there is someone to continue the political course of Heydar Aliyev - President Ilham Aliyev," the rector said.
