Over the last two years, cyber attacks caused 3 billion rubles of damage to Russia’s financial sector, deputy chair of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building Lyudmila Bokova said at an information security forum.
Central bank Deputy Governor Dmitry Skobelkin said that the Russian central bank has not yet registered a significant loss from cyberattacks on systemically important credit institutions.
"However we’re aware of incidents in the sphere of financial security, which broke a flawless provision of financial services and, as a consequence, raised social tension," Prime agency cited him as saying.
