IS executes women for witchcraft and sorcery

The Islamic State group has beheaded two women in Syria on accusations of 'sorcery'. It is believed to be the first time that IS has executed a woman for crimes, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitor said.

"The Islamic State group executed two women by beheading them in Deir Ezzor province," RIA Novosti cited OHR chief Rami Abdel Rahman as saying.

In both cases, the women were executed with their husbands, with each pair accused of "witchcraft and sorcery."
