ISIS could carry out terrorist attacks in Moscow (VIDEO)

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) has prevented the activity of a terrorist cell consisting of citizens of Tajikistan and a citizen of Moldova, who planned to commit a series of resonant terrorist attacks in Moscow using improvised explosive devices of high capacity.

The detainees had been plotting their attack on the direct orders of an ISIS emissary, which is currently in Turkey. Tajik officials had previously put him n an international list of wanted criminals.

Four members of the terrorist group have been detained. Improvised explosive devices, firearms and a "significant amount of explosive material to develop explosives of high capacity" have been found and seized from the suspected terrorists.

The president of the International Association of Veterans of the Alpha Anti-Terrorism Unit, Sergey Goncharov, speaking with a correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza, noted that most likely, it was not the last militant group arrested in Moscow, the Moscow region and other regions of Russia in the near future. "In recent years, there have been no major terrorist attacks in Russia, in particular, Moscow, which means that the security services are working successfully. At the same time, it is necessary for Muscovites to be more vigilant," he said.

"We must be remember that there is a terrorist threat in Russia. Our successes in Aleppo, as you know, cause wild rage, and many citizens of our post-Soviet republics, which fought on the side of ISIS may have already penetrated into Russia," Sergey Goncharov stressed.

The terrorist threat in Russia so far will only grow. "These recent detention of two groups of 10 and 4 persons show that militants are leaving Syria. And those who find a certain possibility of penetration into our territory are the real threat," the president of the International Association of Veterans of the Alpha Anti-Terrorism Unit concluded.
