The Republican Electoral Commission has registered the second candidate, the nominee of the Party of Growth, Idris Usmanov for the post of the head of Chechnya at the forthcoming elections on September 18, the election commission reported.
Previously, the intention to participate in the elections of the head of Chechnya was announced by the leader of the Chechen branch of the party Fair Russia Sultan Denilhanov and a communist, the chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic Gairsolt Bath. The commission is yet to register these candidates.
The Commissioner for protection of entrepreneurs' rights in Chechnya, 55-year-old Idris Usmanov was born in Nadterechniy district in 1987. He graduated from the All-Union Law Institute in Moscow. In 1984-1991 worked in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 1992 he worked in various positions at Chechenhleboprodukt. In 2000 he was appointed to the position of the General Manager. In 2005 he was elected to the Chechen parliament. In 2008 he was reelected on the United Russia party mandate. In 2013, he became a business Ombudsman.
The voting is to take place in Chechnya on September 18. Kadyrov's term as the head of Chechnya is to expire in March this year. Until the election President Vladimir Putin appointed Kadyrov the Acting Head of Chechnya before the election.
