The champion of the First European Games in trap shooting, Alexey Alipov, the shooting team representative, Elena Tkach, who has won a bronze, the winner of a bronze medal in taekwondo, Alexey Denisenko and the winners in freestyle wrestling, Alexander Bogomoev, Mahammadrasul Gazimagomedov and Abdulrashid Sadullayev, have received greetings from the heads of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) and fans.
The head of the Russian sports delegation at the Olympic Games, Igor Kazik, congratulated the athletes and their coaches on behalf of the ROC. "We are witnessing a real triumph of our athletes. Thanks to you, we are experiencing an unprecedented emotional lift and feel like the authority of Russia in the international sports is growing with each of your victories," he said.
According to Alexei Alipov, "when you fight for the title of the first ever European games, you feel a great responsibility to the country and the fans.
