Former Minister of Transport and current president's assistant Igor Levitin has become an honorary citizen of Sochi. The badge, certificate and ribbon were given to him yesterday by the mayor, Anatoly Pakhomov, at a solemn meeting on the occasion of the Day of the City.
Another honorary citizen, the Director General of 'Channel One' Konstantin Ernst, was unable to attend the event. The regalia will be given to him by the head of Sochi in Moscow.
According to the mayor, Igor Levitin was able to relieve the resort from traffic jams. Also, the mayor expressed his gratitude to the former minister for the reconstruction of the sea port, the YUGA portal reports.
