The closing ceremony of the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) was held in Baku today. Russia ranks first in the team competition: four gold medals were won by Russians. The correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza talked with the participants of the Russian team - Ildar Gaynullin and Alexander Morozov.
“We are proud of our victory. It was preceded by a long journey. Alexander and I were seriously preparing for the competitions, starting from the 7th grade,” Ildar Gainullin said.
In his turn, Alexander Morozov noted that he participates in the competitions of this level for the first time. “I participated in many other less formal and well-known international competitions,” he said.
Speaking about the level of tasks, Alexander Morozov noted that despite their complexity, they were easier than in the previous years.
The International Informatics Olympiad (IOI) was held this year in Baku. 88 countries presented their teams. The Olympiad was organized on the initiative of the Ministry of Education and with the assistance of the ADA University, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, and other state structures of Azerbaijan.
