Today, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev described the decision on the refusal of the ODIHR to observe today's parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan as unacceptable, while talking with the chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs and Relations with Compatriots, head of the observation mission of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth, Leonid Slutsky.
"The duty of the OSCE ODIHR is to observe the elections. As you know, we have invited them and asked for clarifications related to the methodology for determining the number of observers sent to various countries. Instead of answering our question, they decided not to send observers at all. Such actions are unacceptable," TASS quoted him as saying.
