Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received the Border Guard Commander of the Ministry of Defense of Egypt, Ahmed Ibrahim Mohammed Ibrahimi.
Ibrahimi stressed that Azerbaijan and Egypt are friendly countries, adding that Egypt is interested in developing cooperation.
He expressed hope that the visit to Egypt by the Chief of the Azerbaijan State Border Service, Elchin Guliyev, and his own visit to Azerbaijan would contribute to the further development of border services.
Noting Azerbaijan's good experience in the military-technical sphere, Ibrahimi stressed the importance of exchanging experience between the border services.
President Aliyev stressed that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to further developing the friendly relations with Egypt.
Pointing to successful cooperation between the border services, the president emphasized the significance of developing relations in the military and security areas. He expressed confidence that high-level visits would contribute to the enhancement of these relations, Trend reports.
