Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a meeting with the head of the Turkish Ministry of Defense Yaşar Güler, the press service of the Head of State reports.
The parties noted that current bilateral relations were successfully developing in all directions, and a clear example was the joint tactical exercise "Mustafa Kemal Atatürk - 2023".
Güler emphasized that the exercises between Azerbaijan and Türkiye coincided with the 100th anniversary of the birth of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev.
Aliyev and Güler also announced regular meetings and contacts between the Heads of State. They assessed the role of negotiations in the development of cooperation between Baku and Ankara.
In addition to this, the parties assessed the anti-terrorism measures carried out by Azerbaijan in September this year. Then the country completely restored its sovereignty.
Aliyev added that the visit of the Turkish delegation to Azerbaijan serves to develop ties, including strengthening cooperation in all spheres.
