Yesterday after prayers the Khasavyurt security forces arrested the imam of the eastern mosque, Magomednabi Magomedov, who is suspected of public support for terrorism and the organization of an illegal armed formation. The imam was summoned to the police station and detained there.
According to TASS, with reference to its sources in the law enforcement agencies of Dagestan, the imam has not been officially charged yet. It is possible that this a ‘preventive detention’.
