This year, the industrial production in Dagestan will grow by a third, the head of the region, Ramazan Abdulatipov, said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"As a result of the first quarter, we have an increase in the industrial production of 29.6%, which will continue, and we expect the growth of the industrial production to reach 30-32% by the end of the year. The fast development of the industry is due to the zero level of the basic development of Dagestan in the past years as everything was destroyed," RIA Novosti quotes the head of the country as saying.
