Ingushetia, Chechnya and North Ossetia once again recognized as Russia's most unemployed regions

The highest unemployment rate in Russia in September 2019 - 10.5% - was recorded in the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District (NCFD), Rosstat reports. The highest unemployment rates were recorded in Ingushetia, Chechnya and North Ossetia.

Moreover, according to statistics, 68.9 thousand people in Ingushetia do not have jobs, which is 26.2% of the republic's working-age population. In Chechnya, 85.5 thousand people are unemployed, which is 13.4% of the working-age population, while in North Ossetia these figures are 36.6% and 12.2%, respectively.

The situation with employment is slightly better in Dagestan, where 59.4 thousand people do not have jobs (unemployment rate is 11.6%). In Karachay-Cherkessia there are 54.7 thousand unemployed (unemployment rate - 10.1%), in Kabardino-Balkaria - 66.8 thousand people, the unemployment rate is 9.5%.

The lowest unemployment rate among all regions of the North Caucasus Federal District was recorded in the Stavropol Territory, where 59.8 thousand people have no jobs, which is only 4.8%.

Among the regions of the Southern Federal District, the highest unemployment rate was recorded in Kalmykia - 9.5%. In Crimea, this figure is 5.1%, and the lowest unemployment rate was recorded in Sevastopol - 3.8%.

At the same time, of all Russian entities, the lowest unemployment rate was recorded in Moscow (1.3%), St. Petersburg (1.4%) and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (2.1%).
