Ingushetia becomes leader in fight against unemployment

Russian Minister of Labour and Social Protection, Maxim Topilin, held a meeting on social issues in Magas.

He noted that over the past five years the level of general and registered unemployment in the country has been halved. The minister stressed that there are no such rates of employment growth other Russian regions. They discussed the interim results and current tasks of the territorial bodies of the Federal Service for Labour and Employment, the Pension Fund and the Social Insurance Fund of the Russian Federation, the press service of the head of Ingushetia said.

According to Maxim Topilin, the program to create new jobs in the region will be reformatted in 2016. A number of social problems will be solved by the government of Ingushetia in close cooperation with federal agencies.

The head of Ingushetia, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, told Vestnik Kavkaza that the authorities of the region have achieved such success thanks to complex measures. "There is the separate federal program of 'Social development of the Republic of Ingushetia', as well as serious attitude to the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. In 2009, every fortieth resident engaged in small and medium-sized enterprises, now every twentieth resident does it. And it's due to the development of agriculture as well. The search for a labor force is also important," he said.

According to the Deputy Economic Development Minister of the republic, Ruslan Khadziev, "this was achieved mainly due to the federal programs." "We have built many objects, and accordingly, it created jobs. In addition, we have reassignment courses, we hold employment activities," the deputy minister said.

"We are holding construction of the investment projects in order to attract investment. We already implemented a number of investment projects, I think 10-15. Several projects have been implemented at the industrial sites. In all these cases, it created new jobs," Ruslan Khadziev concluded.
