The All-Russian Judo Championship among juniors is held in ingushetia. More than 600 athletes under the age of 21 participate in the competition.
The opening ceremony of the tournament which took place at the Magas Sports Palace in Nazran was attended by the head of the republic, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov.
He noted that there is a good judo school in Nazran, which raised the Olympic champion of Rio de Janeiro, Hassan Halmurzayev. At the current competitions, up to 20 athletes represent Ingushetia, including the North Caucasian Federal District Championship winners.
The tournament will be held until November 25th, Kavkaz Segodnya reports.
