The Ingush authorities are ready to fight the plague of small ruminants. The cause for concern was the data on spreading of the disease in the territory of Georgia. It is reported that the disease strucks mostly small lambs, aged about 2 months.
"In order to prevent the emergence and spread of the plague of small ruminants all the regional stations to combat animal diseases have been given a prescription to ensure the identification and registration of farm animals, to develop an emergency response plan in the event of an outbreak," the press-service of Ingushetia veterinary control reported.
